Invitation to participate in the international scientific conference "The Role and Importance of Education in Contemporary Society"

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Montenegro, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad (Republic of Serbia), is organizing an international scientific conference to be held on September 20 and 21, 2024, in Nikšić at the Faculty of Philosophy. The conference theme is "The Role and Importance of Education in Contemporary Society." Recognizing your contribution in the areas covered by this theme, we invite you to participate in this conference.

The conference will feature theoretical and empirical papers that explore various issues related to the main theme, from the perspectives of social sciences and humanities. Interdisciplinary papers are also welcome.

You can submit your application to participate in the conference with the topic of your presentation and an abstract in Montenegrin/Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian and English by June 1, 2024, to naucni.skup2024@ucg.ac.me.

The abstract should contain concise information about the content of the presentation. It should clearly indicate the subject and objective of the paper, hypotheses, research method, and main findings. The length of the abstract should not exceed 1,400 characters with spaces.

A maximum of three co-authors can be listed for one abstract, and an author may submit a maximum of two applications for the conference.

The working languages of the conference are Montenegrin-Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, and English. Notifications of acceptance of the topic and abstract will be sent by August 1, 2024. A collection of abstracts will be published in electronic form. Complete papers should be submitted by January 31, 2025. Instructions for the preparation of papers will be sent after the conference. Reviewed papers will be published in special issues of the journals "Vaspitanje i obrazovanje" and "Metodika nastave."
